Speaking to OXM, Dark Souls 2 producer Takeshi Miyazoe said that there is potential for the game to receive DLC – but that will depend on feedback from the fans.
“There is definitely potential, I think. Again, it’s all about fan feedback. Right now we are concentrating on completing what we’ve got, but I think there are next steps on how we can expand on Dark Souls 2. So I’m not really ready to say look forward to more information, but I think the potential is definitely there,” said Miyazoe.
Fairly non-committal stuff there; perhaps the game’s publisher, Bandai Namco, wanted to leave the DLC door open for capitalising on the success of the game.
This goes somewhat against comments made by Miyazoe back in December, when he said that DLC wasn’t even being considered as the team wanted to deliver a full package to fans.
