The Toymaker returns in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Konami is preparing to launch Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 on 28 February 2014 on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.

It has been revealed that a classic monster from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will be featured in this latest outing: The Toymaker is back and players will infiltrate his lair.

His arrival is signalled throughout Mirror of Fate, and the character’s genius for creation is highlighted when he animated his evil creations with the spirit of the Daemon Lord.

Konami says the game will offer over 24 hours of gameplay through an open-world environment, and jiggles the series’ hack n’ slash mechanics with a free-roaming camera.

The new game picks up where the original left off.

Awoken after centuries of slumber and yearning for release from his immortal bonds, Dracula finds himself stranded and powerless in contemporary times. Thus, the immortal vampire must rediscover his powers as he makes a pact with Death to defeat Satan. Only then will he gain eternal rest. The game is set in a modern city tainted by Dracula’s influence and within Dracula’s castle itself.
