Swooping onto the PlayStation Store as a digital-download on 21 May 2014 is Drakengard 3, published by Square-Enix.
The game is an action-RPG done in that oh-so-whimsical and bat**** crazy Japanese style. It also features dragons, which is rarely a bad thing.
Check out the trailer below and see if you can fathom why a little girl peeing behind a bush sets off some sort of dragon-centric apocalypse.
Drakengard 3 is actually a prequel to the original Drakengard. The game put players in a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as “Intoners” have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song.
The harmony is disrupted when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions.
The gameplay is quite obviously of the hack n’ slash variety, and players will be challenged to select the correct weaponry needed to dispatch particular foes.
Also, you get to channel the power of your dragon buddy for some large-scale smackdown.
