The Lego Movie Videogame launch date announced

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and The LEGO group have announced The Lego Movie Videogame will be available alongside the launch of the movie on 14 February 2014, for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS, and Windows PC.

Thankfully the Lego series of games has been going from strength to strength, and coupled with some great humorous writing, The Lego Movie Videogame could be another hit.

The game is also boasting a first for the franchise – all environments are made entirely of digital LEGO bricks, opening up environment interaction options.

The family-friendly adventure will take players through a variety of fantastical LEGO worlds, including Bricksburg, Cloud Cuckoo Land, and the Wild West of Flatbush Gulch.

The LEGO Movie Videogame puts players in control of Emmet, an ordinary LEGO minifigure mistakenly thought to be “The Special” — a character prophesized to save the world from an evil LEGO tyrant.

The game features more than 90 characters inspired by the film, including some well-known licensed properties, such as DC Comics Super Heroes Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

Among the playable characters, Emmet is voiced by Chris Pratt; Vitruvius, voiced by Morgan Freeman; Wyldstyle, voiced by Elizabeth Banks; Batman, voiced by Will Arnett; and Lord Business, voiced by Will Ferrell.
