Heavenly Sword: new movie trailer

10 February 2014

IGN has the exclusive on a new trailer for the CG animated outing of the Heavenly Sword franchise.

The movie is being created by Blockade Entertainment and scripted by Drive Angry writer Todd Farmer, and is scheduled for digital release in mid-2014.

The voice cast includes Anna Torv (Nariko), Alfred Molina (King Bohan), and Thomas Jane (Loki).

In the trailer we see protagonist Nariko doing what she does best, slaying bad guys with the titular weapon.

Developed by Ninja Theory, we haven’t heard much about the franchise since it debuted as a PS3 exclusive in 2007, receiving favourable reviews from critics.

SCE retains the Heavenly Sword IP, so hopefully this movie is successful and prompts renewed interest for a PS4 outing.

If that got you all excited, here’s the previously released trailer.
