SA game Broforce launches in beta on Humble Store

11 February 2014

Broforce is shaping up to be the next darling of South African game development – the beta has been released by developer Freelives and is now available from the Humble Store for $15.

The purchase will get you beta access now, and the full game later, including Steam keys. The game should be hitting Steam Early Access in March 2014.

When the game got off the ground on Steam Greenlight, MyGaming caught up with the bro-tastic devs to learn more about the 2D sidescrolling shmup: SA’s Broforce and the “tsunami of bromance”

Broforce is described by the devs as “a ridiculously violent platform game about being awesome action heroes from the 80s and 90s while slaying satanic terrorists and aliens while unraveling an evil plot to destroy the planet while dealing with being awesome action heroes from the 80s and 90s”.

A new trailer has been released to commemorate the beta, and two of the 15 puntastic brotagonists have been revealed: Bronan and Brochete.
