The latest Nintendo Direct has wrapped up, revealing new games and launch dates with both the Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo Direct events are streamed live worldwide, and it’s Nintendo big-shot to reveal new games, give updates on current titles, and talk really slowly for about 45 minutes.

During the stream Nintendo confirmed a few rumours as well as revealed new trailers for some upcoming games. Here’s what’s is in store for all you 3DS owners.
Mario Golf Tour
Mario Gold Tour is a spin on the Mario Franchise. During the event Nintendo showcased the single player hub called the Castle Club – in this mode players will use their Mii characters to play through the game.
You can then customize your Mii using the 8 different sections, each tailoring your Mii stats during the game. There is also a training facility which you can use to polish your skills.
Mario Golf Tour tees off on 2 May 2014.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe
Nintendo showed off another Nintendo Mascot during the stream – during the latest trailer of Kirby: Triple Deluxe we saw Kirby’s ability to copy enemy abilities, and had a look at the game’s collectables which consists of key chains resembling past Kirby game items.
The trailer also showed off Streepass – if you pass a gamer with the Streetpass option on you will meet them during the game and they will drop helpful items like health, abilities, and key chains.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe releases on 2 May 2014.
Yoshi’s New Island
Nintendo showed off some Yoshi skills during the latest trailer, such as giant eggs called “Giant Eggdozer” and the “Metal EggDozer”.
These eggs can be thrown throughout the level, with each effecting the surroundings differently. A super star was also shown which turns Yoshi into Super Yoshi; with this he has the ability to run faster and up walls.
Yoshi’s New Island releases on 14 March 2014.
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
A cinematic trailer was shown which showcased Emmy Altava, a character who previously appeared in Professor Layton titles. The trailer showed her impact on the upcoming game.
The Streepass ability of the game was also shown; it includes a feature to create scavenger hunt quests for other players to try.
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy will release on 28 February 2014
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
A trailer showcased the game character’s platforming ability. The game is set for release early 2015.

Nintendo Wii U
The Wii U also got some love of course – here are the announcements.
Game boy Advanced Virtual Console
Nintendo finally revealed their plans to release Game Boy Advanced titles on the eShop. Starting in April Nintendo will release a handful of games such Metroid Fusion, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3.
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze
The trailer showed off the enemies that you will face during gamelay; it also showed off some intense stages that you will face during the game. The fast-paced platforming action is a signature in the series.

Mario Kart 8
An action-packed trailer was shown, during which we saw characters speeding through the various tracks – underwater driving, flying, and gravity sliding were all showcased.
Mario Kart 8 will release on 30 May 2014.
We were finally shown some story gameplay and some amazing action scenes. Bayonetta 2 is looking good, although there’s still no release date. Nintendo pegs it for release in late 2014.

The game’s co-op was shown during this trailer – it also showed off the ability of the second player to heal you during battle and to help distract enemies.
