Sony has listed Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs on the PlayStation Store with a 30 June 2014 launch date. The page has since been taken offline.

This is in line (only just) with Ubisoft’s previous time frame of during the April – June quarter. Watch Dogs is heading to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC. The Nintendo Wii U version will be getting a later release.

This is probably a place-holder date for the game. Ubisoft has not responded to requests for comment on Sony’s listing.

The (new) confirmed launch date of Watch Dogs is expected to be announced via an advertised trailer which has yet to be released.

Watch Dogs is poised to be Ubisoft’s next ground-breaking IP, featuring all manner of open-world hacking exploits in a lovingly crafted futuristic Chicago.

A lot is riding on the success of the open-world hacktion-adventure game, which was delayed from its previous November 2013 launch, harming Ubisoft’s financial results and worrying investors at the time. Ubisoft said that the game needed more polish.
