The Last of Us has hit 6 million copies sold since its launch in July 2013. Tomb Raider (2013) is also on track to hit 6 million copies sold come the end of March 2014.
The Last of Us news comes from Eric Monacelli, community Strategist at Naughty Dog Studios, who posted on the official PSBlog that they are off to GDC to show how the game was made.
Monacelli added that the recently released Left Behind DLC is now the highest rated PS3 DLC ever, according to MetaCritic, sitting at an average 89%.
Tomb Raider too has been a hit, with Crystal Dynamics boss Darrell Gallagher announcing that the multiplatform reboot will surpass the 6 million mark at the end of March.
This was revealed on the official Tomb Raider blog:
“At launch we set franchise records for the fastest selling day one and month one inTomb Raider history. With the positive word of mouth and continued commercial momentum it’s great to see Tomb Raider on course to become the best-selling game in the history of the franchise! This would be a crowning achievement for the teams around the world, and one that we have our sights firmly set on!”
