New Assassin’s Creed screenshots leaked

Assassin's Creed Unity

This year’s Assassin’s Creed will apparently be set in 18th century Paris, according to leaked screenshots of the upcoming title.

The Parisian screenshots, obtained from an anonymous source by Kotaku, show an early in-development version of the game, and features Notre Dame and the Seine river.

The game is dubbed “Assassin’s Creed Unity”, though it is not clear if this is the actual title or a codename.

The screenshots also show buttons mapped to ‘parkour up’ and ‘parkour down’, which is said to be a new feature to be introduced this year.

Reports also suggest that there will be different version of Assassin’s Creed this year for both current-gen – Xbox One and PS4 – and last-gen machines.

If true, it would mean that this year’s Assassin’s Creed would not be designed as a cross-generational title like last year’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Naturally, Ubisoft declined to comment on the matter. Check out the leaked images below.

Does Assassin’s Creed in Paris with a bit of parkour action on the side sound enticing? Let us know in the comments and forum.
