Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2014.

Ubisoft posted on its blog that it has been working on the new title for more than three years, and “wanted to find the perfect time” to give fans a taste of the game.

“Apparently the Templar Order was hungry to know more right now. To this, we say “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche!” (“Let them eat cake!”) Help yourself to a serving of the first official footage from the next-gen only Assassin’s Creed Unity,” the post read, followed by a short video previewing the game (posted below).

The announcement has not taken anyone by surprise, following recently leaked screenshots, showing Unity taking place in Paris, with elements of parkour set to be incorporated.

Now that Assassin’s Creed Unity has been confirmed, will you be saving your francs to buy a copy? Let us know in the comments and forum.
