Battlefield 4: Naval Strike PC delayed over quality concerns

DICE will not be releasing the Battlefield 4: Naval Strike expansion for PC today as promised.

“We are delaying the launch of Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC. We’ve detected an issue and it needs to be solved. Quality is our number one priority and we will not release Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC until we feel it meets the highest quality level possible,” DICE wrote on Battlelog, adding the console versions of the expansion will not be affected.

“We are also working on a larger update to release alongside Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC that will address the issue of Tablet Commander not working correctly. Once we have a confirmed date for PC, we’ll be sure to update those players on our official channels.”

The announcement comes less than a month after DICE promised net code and bug fixes for Battlefield 4 players.

Naval Strike includes four new maps – Lost Islands, Wave Breaker, Nansha Strike, and Operation Mortar – an amphibious hovercraft vehicle, five new weapons, two additional gadgets, and ten assignments.
