Watch Dogs counters graphics gripes with new video

Watch Dogs

Remember the controversy surrounding Watch Dogs and its “downgraded” graphics after the game’s story trailer was released early in March?

Well, Ubisoft have sought to prevent gamers from gathering their pitch-forks and torches by releasing a new video detailing the city in which the game is based.

“Welcome to Chicago” focuses on the technology that went into creating the virtual city, and it would seem Ubisoft have done their best to show off the game looking graphically gorgeous. The initial trailer was criticised and said to not have met gamers’ visual expectations.

The new trailer, rendered by a new graphics engine specifically built for Watch Dogs, has done a better job of showing off the game’s aesthetic potential. Take a look at the two trailers below and judge for yourself.

Trailer 2 (The one that might make you less angry)
