Virtual Reality is gaming’s hot topic at the moment, and companies are looking to get into the market space first with desirable peripherals. Cue the Virtuix Omni VR treadmill, which will be available from July 2014.
The price: $499 (around R5,200). That does not include shipping fees, a PC game controller, or an Oculus Rift headset.
What you do get is the treadmill, a support harness, and a bespoke pair of special shoes which work in tandem with the treadmill’s low friction surface allowing you to walk, run, or jump.
The Omni was playable at EGX London last year, and we have included videos of it in action.
