Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught mode dated, priced

PRIIIIIVATE PYYYYYLE! I just really wanted to quote Full Metal Jacket. Back in the news, however, DICE has announced the release date and price of Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s Onslaught mode, as well as some Kit Shortcut DLC for people who want stuff without doing any work for it. Or what Gunnery Sergeant Hartman would probably call a “****ing puke”.

Onslaught mode – currently exclusive to console pending DICE working out some way to put a 4-player mode onto dedicated servers (Protip: Ask Valve) – looks like something in between Gears of War 2’s Horde mode, Halo 3: ODST’s Firefight mode, and, well, Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

It’s an intensively teamplay- and objective-oriented for up to four players, and it looks totally awesome. The add-on is dropping 23 June, and tagged at 800 MSP / $10.

DICE is also releasing so-called Kit Shortcut DLC, which pretty much does what it says on the box – it instantly gives you all the unlocks in whatever kit you pay for. Some would call that cheating, but… actually, it is cheating. Cheating will set you back 560 MSP / $6.99 for individual cheater kits, or 1600 MSP / $19.99 for the whole cheater collection, and you’ll be able to cheat from 16 June. Also, everyone will know you’re a cheater. Are you quitting on me? Well, are you? Then quit, you slimy ****ing walrus-looking piece of ****! Get the **** off of my obstacle! Get the **** down off of my obstacle! NOW! MOVE IT!
