Fallout: New Vegas is becoming highly anticipated by fans of the series and Bethesda has just announced the release date for the game at E3. The title will be making its way to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms on 19 October in North America, and on 22 October in Europe.

Expectations are high for this title, as it will have to live up to the standard set by its well received predecessor, Fallout 3. Obsidian Entertainment is at the helm of the production, a team lead by veteran RPG developers who had previously worked with the Black Isle team to deliver classics such as Fallout 2 and Baldur’s Gate.

Obsidian also brought us Knights of the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2, and recently announced that they will be developing Dungeon Siege III. With this development pedigree behind the new Fallout title, we could be in for a real Fallout treat when we hit The Strip in October.
