Telltale Games has announced the release date of the third episode of the current Sam & Max game, The Devil’s Playhouse. The episode entitled “They Stole Max’s Brain” will be available for Windows PC, Mac OS and via the PlayStation Network from 22 June.
In episode three, “Max’s brain has gone walkabout, and it’s up to Sam to find out who took it. Taking a cue from the Freelance Police’s office neighbour (and idol) Flint Paper, Sam is poised to beat the information from the unsuspecting supporting cast milling around the streets of New York City.”
The five episode season of the Devil’s Playhouse can be bought for just under US$35 (±R265) from Telltale games or Steam. Taking it a step further, one could pick up the full three seasons of Sam & Max produced thus far for US$50 (±380). That’s a whole lot of gaming goodness for a reasonable price, from a company with LucasArts adventure game era pedigree.
