Microsoft has announced their free Games with Gold for June, which forms part its launch of the free game benefit for Xbox One users.
In addition to the two titles Xbox 360 Live Gold members normally receive during the course of a month, June sees a third “bonus” game on offer – Dark Souls, Charlie Murder, and Super Street Fighter IV.
“Since Games with Gold launched on Xbox 360 a year ago, over 12 million people have enjoyed great free games, resulting in nearly 200 million hours of free fun playing Games with Gold titles,” said Xbox head Phil Spencer over on the Xbox Wire.
June will also see the start of Games with Gold for the Xbox One, with players getting Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault on the next-gen console.
Microsoft has also announced that Xbox users will, from June, not need a Gold subscription to access entertainment apps such as Machinima, Twitch, Upload, Netflix, Univision Deportes, GoPro, Red Bull TV, HBO GO, the NFL app for Xbox One, MLB.TV, NBA Game Time, and NHL Game Center.
