To mark the launch of Watch Dogs, and ensure your PC is in tip-top gaming shape, AMD and Nvidia have released new drivers for their respective graphics cards.
Nvidia now offers the GeForce 337.88 driver, while AMD is serving up the Catalyst 14.6 driver. The new Catalyst driver is yet to be posted on AMD’s site, as 27 May 2014 is a holiday in the US, but should be available from Wednesday.
Both updates promise to enhance and stabilise Ubisoft’s latest title, and offer new improvements and features.
“This 337.88 Game Ready WHQL driver ensures you’ll have the best possible gaming experience for Watch Dogs,” said a post from Nvidia, adding that new DirectX optimisations would reduce loading times and provide “significant” performance increases – depending on how powerful your rig is, naturally.
AMD has put together a few performance optimisations of its own, which offer a 25% performance for single cards and the necessary profiles to enable Crossfire support.
Will AMD or Nvidia give you the better Watch Dogs experience? Let us know in the comments and forum.
