Magicka: Wizard Wars – an upcoming 4v4 MOBA from Paradox Interactive – goes into open beta today, 27 May 2014.
“As of today, anybody can download and play Magicka: Wizard Wars and try their hand at the elementary arcane arts in 4-on-4 combat and 1-on-1 duels,” said Paradox Interactive.
The game sees two teams of four wizards going head-to-head, to see which players manage to harness the best casts and spells – while also avoiding friendly fire from your noob-like wizard teammates. “Magicka has always allowed for some unique gameplay and, with Wizard Wars, we’ve really captured the true experience of PvP wizardry,” said Paradox.
The beta includes a new Wizard Warfare map set in the caves of Galdrhöll Halls, a new “Raise Dead” Magick which conjures zombies, and new robes, staffs, and skins.
