Make Games SA is calling on budding writers to flex their creative muscles and enter their video game ideas into the NPO’s Prototype Prowess! Writing Challenge.
To enter, select a game prototype that has been posted on the Make Games SA forums and come up with the following concepts:
- Story premise – what is the story about, what happens, why, how does it end?
- Setting – where does the story take place? Describe the world and situation.
- Characters – describe the main characters. Who are they, what drives them?
- Script sample – write one scene of dialogue, or if there is no call for dialogue, write a set of barks (call outs by characters), or in game text. Or do all three.
The competition started on 2 June 2014 and ends on 1 July 2014. To enter, post your ideas on the site’s forum.
