Atari targets gay and lesbian gamers in comeback plan

19 June 2014

Atari has unveiled its “corporate comeback strategy”, which they hope will expand its business and bring the company mountain-loads of success.

What exactly does this grand plan entail?

“The company will aim at capitalising on rapidly growing markets and reach out to new audiences – including LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender), social casinos, real-money gambling, and YouTube with exclusive video content,” stated Atari.

We are not exactly sure what they plan to do, but if it means making games for people of a particular sexual persuasion it will be interesting to see what they come up with. Last time I checked, most people liked RollerCoaster Tycoon, regardless of their sexual orientation.

Besides the new markets, Atari plans to bring back some of its old titles to modern platforms.

“Atari is extending its classic gaming brands to various platforms including mobile (iOS and Android), PC, online, and other digital mediums.”

More importantly Atari, where can I buy a new branded t-shirt? Mine is getting a bit old.
