As of last night, Modern Warfare 2’s latest map pack is now available to PC owners via Steam for $14.99 (R115), as well as PS3 via PlayStation Network. The Resurgence Pack cost £10.99 in the UK, and I have been unable to confirm an local price yet, although it should be between R110-R150. Feel free to let us know in the comments section below if you are at your PS3.
The Resurgence pack features 5 new multiplayer maps, 2 of which are actually remakes of Call of Duty 4 maps; Vacant and Strike. The remaining 3 maps are Trailer Park, Carnival and Fuel.
• Carnival – takes place in a “desolated amusement park” complete with roller coaster, fun house, and other staples of theme parks. This daytime map features all new art and original assets with a big playable area and opportunities to climb the roller coaster and fun house for sniper vantage points.
• Fuel – A huge map similar to Overgrown that is set in an oil refinery full of wide open spaces and buildings. The layout of the map makes it a sniper haven with objective points set in warehouse and office areas to enable running and gunning as well.
• Trailer Park – A maze of “mobile estates” that acts as the living area for the people that worked in the Boneyard that is part of the full game. It is full of tight corridors, choke points, and good ole American trailer park atmosphere.
