Lindsay Lohan – of Mean Girls and crashing her car into stuff fame – is set to sue Rockstar Games over the use of her likeness in GTA 5.
The actress (does she still act?) claims that the character Lacey Jonas is an “unequivocal” reference to her. Rumours of Lohan suing surfaced in late 2013, and it seems she has finally filed the lawsuit.
In the game, Jonas is a character the player needs to escort to her Vinewood Hills home while avoiding the paparazzi. She complains that she looks fat (despite only sucking on french fries and spitting them into a bucket), has enough fans “to fill the country of Africa”, and spent millions of dollars to lose her regional accent.
The lawsuit was filed in a Manhattan court and it claims that Lohan’s image, voice, and styles from her clothing line are depicted in the game, along with West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel where the actress once resided.
