R10,000 in prizes at Call of Duty LAN in Joburg

Call of Duty: Ghosts players – on the Xbox 360 – can put their FPS skills to the test on the weekend of 19 and 20 July 2014, when MWEB hosts its GameZone Master Series Ghosts LAN tournament in Gauteng.

Teams of four can enter by emailing [email protected], and put themselves in line to win Kalahari vouchers and Red Bull merchandise. The event was originally set to host 16 teams, but a spokesperson for Mweb tells us that entries have been opened to accommodate more CoD players.

The deadline for entry is 14 July 2014, and the success of your registration can be checked via the MWEB gaming forum, where the first 16 teams to register successfully have already been posted.

Prizes up for grabs include:

First place: R5 000 (4 x R1250) in Kalahari vouchers and 4 x Red Bull F1 Racing caps.
Second place: R3000 (4 x R750) in Kalahari vouchers and 4 x Red Bull F1 Racing caps.
Third place: R2000 (4 x R500) in Kalahari vouchers and 4 x Red Bull F1 Racing caps.
Fourth place: 4 x Red Bull F1 Racing caps, and 4 x Red Bulletin SIGG flasks.

The event will take place at Media Park (Media24), 69 Kingsway, Auckland Park, Johannesburg and players are required to bring their own Call of Duty: Ghosts disc for Xbox 360, Xbox 360 Console, display screen, controller, and headset.
