Tekken 7 is coming to kick your ass

Tekken fans rejoice, Tekken 7 is coming.

Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada made the announcement at Evo 2014, adding that the game has been in development, in secret, for some time already. This comes after Tekken 7’s existence was recently leaked to the media.

“The first thought that came into my head was ‘It must have been Ono,’” Harada joked, referring to rival and Street Fighter boss Yoshinori Ono.

The game’s teaser trailer, posted below, does not show us much (besides flames, explosions, and menacing fighters), but it does reveal the words “Kazumi and Heihachi”, and a promise of more information to come at San Diego Comic-Con. The game is apparently being built using the Unreal Engine 4 – platforms and release dates are yet to be announced.

The teaser trailer does not show any gameplay, but are you brave enough to make a judgement call on which fighting title will reign supreme – Tekken 7 or Mortal Kombat X? Let us know in the comments and forum.
