Well that certainly didn’t take long.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue confirmed for release on Xbox 360 and PS3, coming November 11th.
Set in the middle of the 18th century during the Seven Years War, Assassin’s Creed Rogue gives players new locations across North America to explore, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley and New York.
In Assassin’s Creed Rogue, players experience the Assassin’s Creed universe through the eyes of a Templar. As Shay Patrick Cormac, players suffer the brotherhood’s betrayal and transform into an Assassin hunter.
Is it still a rumour when the evidence is pretty clear?
There’s going to be another Assassin’s Creed title in 2014, according to reports, and it’s called Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
If a leaked trailer for the game is to be believed (and by all accounts, it looks quite legit), the game will be releasing on 11 November 2014 for last-gen consoles.
According to reports from IGN and Kotaku, there were murmurings about the game running under the title “Assassin’s Creed Comet” – which is a silly name.
The game will take place somewhere cold, will apparently align with the 18th century, and once again feature the sailing that loads of gamers loved about the last two titles.
Why “Rogue”? Well, word on the street (aka Internet) is that you will be playing as someone aligned with, or at the very least related to, the Templars in some way.
Naturally, Ubisoft has not confirmed this – so it could just be a very, very, super-elaborate and uber-convincing hoax – but we’re pretty sure the details will become apparent very soon.
