Resident Evil gets TV show and Assassin’s Creed gets Monopoly

Assassins-Creed-Monopoly

In a double-whammy of gaming related news, Resident Evil is set to get its own TV series, while Assassin’s Creed will be branded all over the Monopoly board game.

To Resident Evil first, where a production company called Mance Media is reportedly in the midst of developing a show based on the Capcom game. The show is set to be called Arklay, and is described as a “thrilling detective drama”.

“When Detective James Reinhardt is thrust into a series of bizarre homicides, he unravels the city is hiding a dark conspiracy,” reads a pitch description on Mance Media’s website.

“Learning a fatal virus is connected to it all, Reinhardt discovers it’s already coursing through him. With time no longer on his side, he must solve the conspiracy to save his own life.”

With all the zombie-centric content already on the market, will this show stand out, or simply moan and stagger until it takes a bullet to the head?

Next on the agenda is Assassin’s Creed, which has been bestowed the great honour of having itself turned into a game of Monopoly.

AC joins the ranks of The Legend of Zelda and Mass Effect in making an appearance on the property board game, and besides the pack shot, posted below, there are not many details about the game.

What we do know is that pre-orders for the English version are open, with the game retailing for ±R750.
