Assassin’s Creed Unity gets delayed

Assassin’s Creed Unity will launch in Europe (and, in all likelihood, South Africa) on 13 November 2014. The game was originally scheduled to be released in October, but Ubisoft has decided it needs a few more weeks to tidy up the title.

“As we got close to the finish, we realised we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional,” said Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft.

Ubisoft promised the delay would be “worth it”, and thanked gamers for their patience.

This means that Unity will now launch alongside Ubisoft’s other Assassin’s Creed title for 2014, Rogue.
