Following a recent announcement by Atari that it would be remaking its classic horror game Alone in the Dark, the company has revealed the first footage of the upcoming title.
Posted below, the video for Alone in the Dark: Illumination was shown off at PAX 2014.
The game is a re-imagining of the 1992 original and will feature “the power of illumination”, a cooperative multiplayer mode, and different playable hero characters.
These heroes will come with different abilities and weapons, and have been categorised into the following classes: Hunter, Witch, Engineer, and Priest.
Expect many enemies hiding in dark places, waiting to scare you and then eat your innards.
The game is being developed by Pure, a studio that has worked on games like Dead Island 2, Bioshock Infinite, and Battlefield 2.
The fun does not stop there, though, as Atari took the opportunity to announce another horror game: Haunted House: Cryptic Graves.
Developed by Anna studio, Dreampainters, the game will be a first-person puzzler of sorts, and include the use of psychic powers. Check out the trailer, below.
Both games are due to be released for PC before the end of 2014.
