For those of you unfamiliar with Brutal Doom, it is a mod created by Sergeant_Mark_IV in 2010 that makes the FPS – and here’s how I earn my salary – more brutal.
Compatible with Doom and Doom 2, the mod provides additional blood spatter when killing enemies (mostly on the walls and ceilings), the ability to blow off body parts, and additional illuminating effects.
Now that the history lesson is done, let’s get to the mod’s latest update – v2.0.
As seen in the video posted below, the latest update sees more blood dripping and more body parts being blown of then ever before. Plus, the sounds effects have been enhanced.
“On v19 the dripping blood always looked the same and had an annoying sound,” said Sergeant_Mark_IV. “Now the blood will drip in different amounts depending of how much blood has hit the ceiling, and with much better new sounds.”
Sounds like he enjoys his job.
