July saw one of the year’s most highly anticipated games released; StarCraft II. PC gamers waited over a decade for the sequel to arguably the most iconic real-time-strategy game ever made, and by the looks of things it did not disappoint.
August may not have anything quite as massive as July’s star attraction, but at least the fun is not reserved exclusively for PC gamers. Most notably, 2K’s Mafia II will be gracing our consoles and PCs. Players will be taken to back to 1945, where the action will play out in the New York-based fictional city of Empire Bay.
Then there is Eidos’ Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. Apparently Dog Days will feature a unique visual style inspired by documentaries. Unlike the first game which was experienced from the perspective of Kane, players will step into Lynch’s shoes this time around.
American Football fans have this year’s iteration of the popular Madden franchise.
