Steam’s biggest-ever free game weekend

16 October 2014
Steam

Steam users pay attention: there are a stack of games you can play for free this weekend on Valve’s online platform.

Starting tonight – 16 October 2014 – from 19:00, you will be able to play the following games at no charge:

  • Awesomenauts
  • Blade Symphony
  • Company of Heroes 2
  • Don’t Starve
  • Grid 2
  • Injustice
  • Killing Floor
  • Payday 2
  • Trine 2
  • XCOM: Enemy Unknown

How the deals works is that you can download and play the aforementioned games as much as you like over the course of the weekend. Once the weekend is up, so is the fun. As an incentive to keep on enjoying the titles, Steam occasionally discounts the games over the three days.

Valve is calling this installment of the free game weekend the “biggest one ever”, so be sure not to miss out.

As a personal recommendation, I would suggest you try out Don’t Starve. I have it on the PS4, and put many hours into trying to stay alive in the dark and twisted world.

The free game weekend comes to a conclusion at 21:00 on Monday evening (20 October).

Will you be taking Steam up on this offer? Let us know in the comments and forum.
