GTA 5 gets first-person mode, 4K PC support

After many complaints and grumbles from PC gamers about the wait for GTA 5, Rockstar may have some news which will cheer the master race up.

According to a new gameplay trailer released by the team behind Grand Theft Auto, the “next-gen” version of GTA 5 will have a first-person mode. The video is embedded below – and you are in for a treat.

The first-person action look funs and fast-paced, with a shootout in the middle of a suburban street and a drive-by shooting at an airport given an injection of energy thanks to the new perspective. The inside of cars and a close-up models of weapons have been designed to ensure the transition is a smooth one for gamers.

The FPS mode will extend to GTA Online, so you can have a competitive shootout in an online heist, too. The FPS mode is available in the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game.

As PC gamers will have to wait until 27 January 2015 for their copies of the game – PS4 and Xbox One gamers can expect theirs on 18 November 2014 – Rockstar has decided to treat the master race with 4K support for the game.

GTA 5 will run in 1080p at 30fps on the consoles, in case you were wondering.
