The video game version of Game of Thrones will be released for the PC, Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and iOS “soon”.
This is according to Telltale Games, the team behind bringing the wildly popular books/TV series to life.
Originally the GoT game was set for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but obviously the desire to make tons of money all fans across various platforms happy meant wider availability was needed.
The game will pick up near the end of the third season of the TV show, and ends just before the beginning of season five.
For fans of the show who know all the character names and what not (I do not watch Game of Thrones), the game will focus on House Forrester – with players controlling five members of the house.
“Playing as five characters not only reflects the epic scope of Game of Thrones, but is also something that the player needs to be mindful of,” said Telltale.
“This is because the actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester. Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you’re truly playing the Game of Thrones … where you win, or you die.”

Telltale said the game will include well-known scenes and locations, such as The Wall and King’s Landing. It will also introduce the home of House Forrester – Ironrath.
“House Forrester is a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always offered unswerving loyalty to the ruling great house of the North – the Starks. The Forresters are seated at Ironrath, an imposing stronghold surrounded by towering ironwood trees.”
Apparently players need to take care of the aforementioned trees, as they can be used to build weapons, vessels, and walls.
Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series is six episodes, and the first installment is named after the House Forrester motto, “Iron from Ice.” Telltale says the game is still set to premiere in 2014.
