Next Assassin’s Creed leaked, coming in 2015

The ink has barely dried on the box art for Assassin’s Creed Unity, yet Ubisoft has confirmed that its next Assassin’s Creed game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One will be released in 2015.

Online reports, based on a leaked video of “target gameplay footage”, state that the game will be titled Assassin’s Creed Victory and will be set in Victorian era London.

Victory is said to be using the same Anvil engine as Assassin’s Creed Unity, and see players fighting on top of coaches, swinging around the city with a grappling hook, and then fighting some more – this time on top of a train.

Ubisoft confirmed that the leaked assets are real.

It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public.

The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.

By “enhancing the experience” I am sure they mean “make it not broken“.

Assassin’s Creed Victory

Reviews for the recently released Unity have been mixed, with many gamers complaining about buggy and broken experiences in the “next-gen” title. Whether this means Assassin’s Creed fans will think twice before rushing to buy Victory remains to be seen.
