How to level up while you sleep

Are you tired of having to kill thousands of enemies to level up, wasting valuable “awake’ time which could be spent on customizing your character’s eyebrow colour?

If your answer is yes, then we have some good news for you: Destiny player yavin247 has built a controller which allows him to rise through the ranks while he sleeps.

A short video of how the device works is posted below, but it is basically a set of motorised arms which push the controller’s trigger buttons, which in turn make his character shoot and punch repeatedly.

“Woke up this morning to a brand new 20! [Guardian]” he said on Reddit.

“Had about 3,600 kills, and 900 deaths (LOL), and like 50 green engrams. I started at level 16.5 yesterday afternoon, and reached 20 sometime while I was asleep. With the armour I had waiting for him he is now a 26.”

To ensure his character does not get kicked by Bungie for inactivity, the resourceful gamer included a modification to ensure his player moves slightly every now and then.

“I did it more for the hell of it, and I’ll be the first to admit I could have done it much faster manually. To those saying it’s pathetic, I don’t disagree with you. But it’s much less an exploit than a bit of fun, just to see if it could be done, and no one else was negatively affected by it.
