Get ready for new Dungeons & Dragons PC adventure

Fans of traditional pen and paper role-playing and Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights will be happy to hear that we’re getting another adventure in Faerûn.

Developer n-Space (the devs behind Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, and, uh, Hannah Montana: The Movie) is working on Dungeons & Dragons: Storm Coast Legends – a 4v1 title built in partnership with official D&D masters Wizards of the Coast.

The game will let you team up with three other adventurers as you explore under the whims of a real-life Dungeon Master (DM).

If you’re not keen on getting friendly with others, you can be the DM yourself – with all the tools you’ll need to help, hinder, and create the world of your adventuring party.

The promise is that you will get to have a bona-fide pen and paper D&D experience, but with flashy graphics and no need to actually be in the same room with other people.

Finally, the joy of traditional D&D without the need for pants. My level 3 rogue who doesn’t give a damn about social norms will be so happy.

The mechanics will be based on the latest fifth edition rule-set, which is inspiring. Get it? Inspiration. 5th ed. No? Okay.

While obviously set with a 4v1 experience in mind, the game will also feature a single-player campaign created by the team behind Dragon Age: Origins.

DA:O, you may recall, was the ‘spiritual successor’ of sorts to the Baldur’s Gate games, so a story set in the same world by the same team should stir some positive feelings inside you.

The Dungeon Master Mode also promises real-time customisation during gameplay, so you can really shape how the adventure goes.
