Bad news PC gamers – you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for GTA V.
Rockstar has announced that the hottest sandbox game of 2013 (and 2014) will be delayed to 14 April 2015 on PC.
The game was initially pegged for launch on 24 March.
“Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC,” the developer said.
“As a gesture of thanks for your understanding, we will grant anyone who has pre-ordered the game an additional $200,000 in-game cash for use in GTA Online.”
Rockstar says that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is its “most graphically and technically advanced version yet”, and is fully optimised to support a broad range of current hardware.
It will feature a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support, as well as the new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging, and editing original custom videos.
In some good news, GTA V players who have been waiting for the GTA Online Heist update to drop – that’s still on track for a 10 March launch. On consoles, of course.
