Treyarch is gearing up for the Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer reveal event, and the team is just as excited as the gamers. Black Ops Community manager Josh Olin, via his official Twitter page, has found comfort in a fortune cookie.
Previously Treyarch released a multiplayer teaser which was enough to get gamers chomping at the bit thanks to glimpses of features such as explosive laden radio controlled cars, soldiers diving to prone, crossbow bolts with timed explosives, a blade firing knife/gun thing (it’s called a ballistic knife, sub ed.), thermal sensing camera equipment, and a whole lot more.
Gamers are bound to have tons of questions during and after the live reveal event, which is taking place in Los Angeles. News of the beta testing stage is expected to be revealed, and it is thought that the beta program will only be open to Xbox 360 gamers at first. Other questions yet to be answered revolve around the matchmaking system, which was generally considered to be abysmal in Modern Warfare 2 (PC), and what exactly we can expect out of a ‘Zombie mode.’
The multiplayer reveal can be caught live tonight via streaming video on the official Treyarch Facebook page. The broadcast is scheduled to begin at 17:00 BST (British Summer Time) which equates to 18:00 here in South Africa. The event is set to be around three hours long.
For those who aren’t going to be able to catch the live stream, there will no doubt be countless full-length and edited versions popping up around the Web.
