Kalahari.net has sent out a newsletter announcing that Rock Band 3 is now available for pre-order for just R390. This is remarkably cheap for a brand new console game.
Take2.co.za also has the game listed, for both PS3 and Xbox 360 at R396 each.
Obviously these prices are for the packages which do not include any instruments.
Rock Band 3 is due out on PS3, 360 and Wii on October 29. Rockband is one of two franchises, along with Guitar Hero, that many believe have saturated the music game market with ceaseless iterations and spin-offs.
This may be the reason for the relatively low release price.
The game will feature support for guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals. 83 songs are confirmed to be in the game at launch, and existing DLC from previous Rock Band titles will be transferable to Rock Band 3.
