This Xenoblade Chronicles X overview says a lot, pity it’s in Japanese

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Over the last year or so, the Wii U has really come into its own. It may not be selling so well in South Africa, but Nintendo has been releasing quality titles, one after the other, and it’s starting to pay dividends. Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles X is a perfect example.

This latest overview trailer is six and a half minutes of everything you need to know. It’s in Japanese unfortunately, so the narrative as well as some of the game’s finer points will likely be lost on you, but there’s still a lot to see.

We’ll say one thing for Xenoblade Chronicles X: it sure does look good, great even. Combat also looks fairly intuitive, action-packed and, we hope, enjoyable. We’re still a little concerned by the potential for an absurd amount of fetch quests, but we won’t know the nature of the beast until we play it.

Now all we need hope for is that it does release in the West this year. It may very well not.
