If you thought GTA V looked good on the PS4 or Xbox One, you’d be right; it does. But there’s still no comparison to the loving craftsmanship Rockstar has invested in the PC version. It’s truly a sight to behold, especially on maximum settings.
Using their top-of-the-line gaming rig (affectionately named the Large Pixel Collider, or LPC), PC Gamer cranked the settings up to max on GTA V and took a tour around Los Santos.
We’re jealous; we’ll say that much. With an i7-5960x, 32GB’s of RAM and two overclocked GTX Titan Xs, the LPC is about as good as it gets. Thankfully, GTA V seems to be fairly well optimised and you shouldn’t need anywhere near that grunt to play the game on high. It’s only when delving into the realm of 4K that the raw pixel crunching performance is needed.
That said, whether played on low or high, GTA V is still absolutely a worthwhile game to invest in.
