Star Wars: Battlefront’s first dev diary is here to satiate your need for more

Star Wars: Battlefront

When DICE and EA finally spilled the beans on the immensely anticipated, and up until this point highly secretive, Star Wars: Battlefront, they did so with immense fanfare. That said, they hardly spoiled us with details. As is the way with all things Star Wars, DICE and EA remain fairly tight-lipped about any number of details.

Perhaps they expect those of us without the insight and or talent for the force to wait until its release, but that’s not going to happen. We’ll tear their gates down long before the game releases. Knowing that all too well, Star Wars: Battlefront has received its first developer diary, the first of many we’re hoping.

Published over on the official Star Wars: Battlefront site, the dev diary, as well as design director Niklas Fegraeus, reiterated a lot of the stuff we already know. They talked about visiting locations, their amazing tech and the general level of detail DICE has been able to achieve – a level of detail that still leaves us gobsmacked might we add.

No new footage? That’s a real shame. We did manage to take away a few titbits, but we’re waiting for the next dev diary to hopefully divulge more.

Star Wars: Battlefront releases for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 17th.
