Think of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition as a definitive edition re-release for the current-gen consoles; that’s essentially what it is. Coming to Xbox One and PS4 on June 18th and PC on June 24th, this digital-only re-release sports updated visuals, the previously PC-only Legendary Dark Knight mode, as well as Vergil, Trish and Lady as playable characters. Additionally, each of the three characters will receive personalised opening and closing movies.
We really enjoyed DMC: Devil May Cry, the latest entry in the series, because it did something fresh and took the franchise in a new direction. But that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t give Devil May Cry 4 another go. We sort of miss the old Dante.
