The Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle is R1000 cheaper this weekend

Okay, so maybe a R500 discount on the PS4 isn’t that much of a saving, but the Xbox One really is getting a discount worthy of your time.

From May 1st through to May 3rd, as a part of festivities for Workers’ Day, “Microsoft South Africa and Prima Interactive will be offering the Xbox One Limited Edition Sunset Overdrive bundle at R5 299, reduced by R1 000 from the recommended retail price of R6 299.” That’s the Xbox One as well as one of its better exclusive titles for a fairly significant price decrease. You can do a lot with R1000.

Alternatively, if the joy-puking and unabashed absurdity of Sunset Overdrive isn’t your thing, you can pick up the standard Xbox One edition for R5, 999 – that’s a saving of a much less significant R300. That said, you do get to choose between including either Forza Horizon 2 or Halo: The Masterchief Collection.

These deals are available from the following retailers:

  • Bt Games
  • Makro
  • Incredible Connection
  • CNA
  • Dion Wired
  • Game
  • Toys R US
  • Takealot
  • Musica
  • Games4u
  • Animeworx

Will you be picking up either the Xbox One or PS4 this weekend? Or are they still outside of your price range?
