Rather than inundate you with post after post on what’s happened this weekend, we thought it’d make a lot more sense to amalgamate the important, interesting or worthwhile events of the weekend into one concise feature. So here we go.
Batman: Arkham Knight’s Season Pass detailed – there’s a lot.
We knew full well that Batman: Arkham Knight and its inevitable season pass were going to cost a pretty penny, and it does. That said, and having been given a brief description (which you’ll find here) of what to expect from said season pass, the additional cost might just be justified.
In addition to new challenge maps and character as well as batmobile skins, you can expect an entire prequel campaign as Batgirl, entitled ‘Batgirl: A Matter of Family’, narrative missions called ‘Gotham City Stories and even the opportunity to face off against some of Batman’s most capable rivals in ‘The Season of Infamy’.
Calling all Dota 2 fans, TI5’s Compendium is now available for purchase
If you’re a fan of Dota 2, and of course you are, boy have we got good news for you. The International 5, otherwise known as TI5, is just around the corner. That means a new Compendium, lots of fun activities to take part in and many an item to collect. Well, Valve has made TI5’s Compendium available for purchase, and it’s well worth picking up.
For those interested, you’ll score new Immortal Treasures, of which the first batch is already available, to new effigies, emoticons, HUD skins and more. For more on the TI5 Compendium, check out its official entry on the Dota 2 website here.
The Binding of Isaac gets a bunch of new content
Before we go any further, we’re talking the original The Binding of Isaac here. Thanks to the continued efforts of Florian Himsl, a co-developer on The Binding of Isaac, anyone who owns the game as well as the DLC expansion, Wrath of the Lamb, can expect an updated Hard Mode, “eternal enemies”, bug fixes and few more things besides. It’s a great update for a great game that needed some love. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been the favoured son of Edmund of late.
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is available for pre-load on Steam
As you well know by now, Wolfenstein: The New Order’s follow-up, The Old Blood, releases this week. Just to keep you up to speed, it’s available for pre-loading on Steam right now.
Heroes of Might & Magic VII had better not suck. This is Ubisoft’s last chance as far as we’re concerned.
You can buy, or rather pre-purchase, Heroes of Might & Magic VII on Steam right now
Games of this type are few and far between, and it’s not something we foresee changing anytime soon. Unfortunately, for the moment at least, it’s a niche genre, but what that does mean is a lot more excitement than is strictly necessary for each new Heroes of Might & Magic announcement. Heroes of Might & Magic VII is what’s next for Ubisoft and Limbic Entertainment, and hopefully a triumphant return to what made the series so fantastic in the first place.
So for those interested, you can now pre-purchase the game on Steam and gain Beta access prior to its release as well as some exclusive in-game items.
The Last Of Us’ Left Behind DLC is now Standalone
The Last of Us’ single player DLC Left Behind is set to release as a standalone download on May 12th. The DLC will be available on both PS3 and PS4 simultaneously at a cost of $9.99 (R120.15 at the time of writing).
The DLC is a prequel, of sorts, to the main game and follows the story of Ellie and her friend Riley. The standalone version of Left Behind also includes a two hour trial of the main game’s multiplayer mode called Factions. You can upgrade to the full version of you so choose.

The Witcher 3, and a lot of it
We’ve just gotten our hands on this new The Witcher 3 video. In it, Geralt is tasked with a quest where he is required to help a merchant collect a mysterious box located in a swamp. He, of course, encounters a monster or two. To find out more, check out the video.
More video footage was released during the weekend featuring 45 minutes of gameplay oozing of the game’s beautiful open world in glorious 1080p. In the video, you get to see The Witcher 3 gameplay mechanics in action, the game’s menu system and a card game called Gwent.
As is usually the case, The Witcher 3 videos do contain mild spoilers. If you want to learn more about the game take a look at everything we know about The Witcher 3 so far, by clicking here.
Gameplay for the PS4 exclusive Kill Strain is mow out in the wild
Kill Strain, in development by Sony San Diego, is a free-to-play top-down shooter game where three teams are up against one another. The game is essentially 5 versus 2 versus 5.
Kill Strain matches consist of two opposing human teams who fight over resources with the aim of destroying the other’s base. However, they are both competing against a third team. The third team is made up of mutants who are fighting to infect the two human teams, turning them into mutants in the process. DualShockers has hosted the Twitch stream for any who are curious.
