As part of reporting on their financial year for 2015, as well as their first financial quarter for 2016, EA revealed a rather interesting titbit regarding DICE’s free-running wunderkind, Mirror’s Edge 2. It’s set to release early 2016.
Mirror’s Edge 2, otherwise known simply as Mirror’s Ede, will focus on the feel of parkour from the perspective of the player, a variety of approaches as well as solutions to most of the obstacles and maps, and will even introduce more ways of entering and executing combat. We just hope it offers worthwhile replayability, more challenge maps from the get-go and a story with more substance than the original – for many, it felt a lot like an overpriced tech demo.
The news comes by way of a table containing information on the projected release dates for many of EA’s more successful titles.
What we found even more interesting was to see a yet-to-be-announced Plants vs. Zombies title for PC – we think it’s finally Plants vs. Zombies 2 for PCs, but who’s to say. Should Plants vs. Zombies 2 receive a port, we’re concerned that the quality of port will suffer. And EA had better be sure all micro-transactions are removed from the site. It might even be something entirely new.

Awesome! Been waiting a long long time. One of my all time favourite games.
