The Left 4 Dead blog has announced that a comic supporting the upcoming DLC ‘The Sacrifice’ will be going live tomorrow, 14 September 2010.
The Sacrifice comic will tell the tale of the events leading up to the new DLC pack. The Sacrifice DLC pack will be made available for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 owners, and it serves as a prequel to the L4D2 campaign, The Passing.
In The Passing campaign, the L4D2 survivors meet up with the original survivors, and learn that Bill had valiantly sacrificed himself in order to save the other three.
The Sacrifice will revolve around the original group of survivors and the events which lead up to Bill’s sacrifice. Players will however be able to elect who sacrifices themselves for the survival of the group, although Bill’s sacrifice remains canon.
The Left 4 Dead blog has released the cover art for the comic series, which will be divided into four parts. You may have noticed the art sprinkled liberally throughout this article. Head on over to the Left 4 Dead blog to grab the full resolution images.
