Vice City into GTA V
Grand Theft Auto V isn’t just a spectacular title in itself, it’s engine, map editor and movie maker have been avenues for any number of modders and gamers to express a little creativity. But sometimes gamers just want to relive fond, old memories.
For example, a few have even taken the engine of GTA V and used it to recreate Vice City in its entirety, and it has the makings of something great.
At the moment, thanks to the use of some rather old textures, Vice City being one of the older 3D Grand Theft Auto titles, a lot of the world looks a little flat and lifeless by comparison to GTA V.
But already the lighting and post-processing effects of this newest engine from Rockstar is showing promise.
The map has a long way to go, but we can’t wait to give it a test drive once it goes live.
GTA V into real life
Taking an older GTA and given it a new paint of coat is one thing, but what if you want to take it one step further.
Short film enthusiasts Corridor Digital have recreated GTA V in real life.
It’s the next step in photorealism after all.
We’re not sure it’s possible to do a better job than that. Corridor Digital have some serious talent.
